Mesmara Cold-Pressed Groundnut Oil

100% Pure | Wood-Pressed | Unrefined | Preservative-Free

Enjoy the naturally rich taste and aroma of Mesmara Cold-Pressed Groundnut Oil, traditionally extracted from carefully selected groundnuts using a wooden chekku (kachi ghani) cold-pressing process.

At Mesmara, we carefully clean and select the groundnuts used for every batch, removing unsuitable or damaged seeds before pressing. The oil is extracted without chemical refining and allowed to naturally settle, helping retain its characteristic colour, aroma, and flavour.

With its naturally nutty aroma and rich flavour, Mesmara Groundnut Oil is suitable for everyday Indian cooking, including sautéing, tadka, shallow frying, and deep frying.

Why Choose Mesmara Groundnut Oil?

  • Cold-pressed using a traditional wooden chekku

  • Made from carefully selected groundnuts

  • Unrefined oil

  • No added preservatives

  • No artificial colours or flavours

  • Naturally settled rather than mechanically clarified

  • Rich, naturally nutty aroma and flavour

  • Produced in small batches at our facility in Hyderabad

  • Suitable for everyday Indian cooking

Our Traditional Cold-Pressing Process

We believe good oil starts with good seeds.

Our groundnuts are carefully cleaned and inspected before processing. Unsuitable, broken, or visibly damaged seeds are removed as part of our quality-control process.

The selected groundnuts are then pressed using a traditional wooden chekku, allowing us to extract the oil without the high-heat refining process used for refined oils.

After extraction, the oil is allowed to settle naturally. This helps separate naturally occurring sediment without the need for artificial clarification.

The result is a naturally aromatic groundnut oil with the characteristic colour, taste, and texture of a traditionally produced cold-pressed oil.

Taste, Aroma and Appearance

Because Mesmara Groundnut Oil is cold-pressed and unrefined, it may naturally have:

  • A golden to deep golden colour

  • A pleasant, characteristic groundnut aroma

  • A naturally rich flavour

  • Minor natural sedimentation

Natural variation between batches can occur because of the variety, season, origin, and characteristics of the groundnuts used.

These natural characteristics are part of traditionally produced cold-pressed oil and do not necessarily indicate a product defect.

How to Use Mesmara Groundnut Oil

Mesmara Groundnut Oil can be used for a wide range of everyday cooking applications, including:

  • Tadka and tempering

  • Sautéing

  • Shallow frying

  • Deep frying

  • Traditional Indian cooking

  • Pickles and other recipes where groundnut oil is traditionally used

Its naturally nutty flavour works particularly well with Indian dishes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Mesmara Groundnut Oil cold-pressed?

Yes. Mesmara Groundnut Oil is extracted using a traditional wooden chekku (kachi ghani) cold-pressing process.

Is Mesmara Groundnut Oil refined?

No. Mesmara Groundnut Oil is unrefined and is not subjected to the conventional chemical refining process.

Does Mesmara Groundnut Oil contain preservatives?

No. We do not add preservatives to our groundnut oil.

Does the oil contain chemicals?

Mesmara Groundnut Oil is produced through mechanical cold pressing and does not undergo chemical refining. No artificial preservatives, colours, or flavours are added.

Why does Mesmara Groundnut Oil have a stronger aroma than refined oil?

Because it is cold-pressed and unrefined, the oil naturally retains more of the characteristic aroma and flavour associated with groundnuts.

Why is there sediment at the bottom of the bottle?

Cold-pressed and minimally processed oils can naturally contain fine particles from the raw material. We allow the oil to settle naturally rather than relying on aggressive clarification processes. Minor sedimentation is therefore a natural characteristic and does not necessarily indicate spoilage.

Can I use Mesmara Groundnut Oil for deep frying?

Yes. Groundnut oil is commonly used for frying and other high-temperature cooking applications. Always use oil appropriately for the cooking temperature and avoid repeatedly overheating or reusing oil excessively.

Is Mesmara Groundnut Oil suitable for everyday cooking?

Yes. It can be used as an everyday cooking oil for a variety of Indian dishes, including tadka, sautéing, frying, and traditional recipes.

How should I store the oil?

Store the bottle in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and excessive heat. Keep the container tightly closed when not in use.

Why can the colour of the oil vary between batches?

Natural variations in groundnut variety, harvest, growing conditions, and processing can result in reasonable variations in colour, aroma, and flavour between batches. This is normal for natural, unrefined oils.
