Mesmara Activated Coconut Charcoal Powder – Face, Body & Hair Mask | 100g
Activated charcoal is a fine, highly porous powder made by heating a carbon-rich material, such as coconut shell, in a controlled process called steam activation. This creates a structure with an enormous internal surface area, which is what makes it so effective at drawing in and holding onto substances it comes into contact with.
Charcoal made from coconut shell is considered a premium source compared to charcoal from wood or other materials, thanks to its especially fine pore structure. This is the same activation process used in water filtration, air purification and odour removal, and it's what makes coconut charcoal such a popular natural ingredient in DIY beauty routines.

- Leave on for 5 minutes, then rinse first with warm water, then cold.

Oily Skin Balance
- Mix 1 tsp activated charcoal with 2 tsp rose water or rose toner.

Gentle Exfoliation & Brightening
Activated charcoal gently lifts away dead surface cells and impurities, which can help with the appearance of acne marks, dark spots and uneven tone over time.
- Combine 2 tsp activated charcoal with 2 tsp raw honey and 1 tsp baking soda for a facial scrub.
- Use 1–2 times a week.
Blackhead Care
Best done after facial steaming to help open pores.

- Apply gently to the face, avoiding eyes and mouth, and massage for 2 minutes.
- Leave for 5 minutes, then rinse with warm water followed by cold water.
Simple Face Mask
- Mix 1 tbsp activated charcoal with 1 tsp raw coconut oil, adding a drop of water until you reach the consistency you like.
- Apply to the face and let dry fully.
- Follow with your usual moisturiser or facial oil.
For Hair
Activated charcoal is also popular in hair care, helping to lift away buildup from the scalp and strands, especially useful for medium to oily hair types.
Scalp Care
Can be used before your regular shampoo or mixed directly into it to help purify the scalp and manage redness, oiliness or itchiness.
Deep Cleansing
Adding activated charcoal powder to your regular shampoo can help remove buildup and odours, leaving hair feeling deeply clean. Be sure to rinse thoroughly to remove all traces of the powder.
