August 15th, Independence Day, is the proudest day of our nation. Each one of us is going to wear their pride and step out celebrating this day with a lot of fanfare. Celebrations are going to be at work, at home and at every corner of the street. Everyone will come together and at this time you want to step out looking your best. A day which signifies freedom should be a day when you gain freedom from your beauty problems, and feel good in your own skin. Its a day when you should be able to shrug off makeup and hairdos and yet look beautiful.
So here are a few tips to help you set free from your beauty problems.
1. Acne and its scars
Acne is one of the most common beauty problems. Apple Cider Vinegar has antibacterial properties and is very helpful in getting rid of acne. Take a small bowl of water and to it mix 1/3rd part of Apple Cider vinegar. Use a small cotton gauge or ball to mix it and apply it gently to the acne affected areas. Beware, this may cause a burning sensation to your skin as it is quite strong. For sensitive skin, you may increase the dilution by adding more water to it.
Over the next few days, the acne outbreak will reduce and eventually you will get back your fresh-looking skin.
As acne usually leaves scars behind, use sandalwood paste mixed with rose water to reduce the scarring. Let the paste dry on the skin and leave it for a good few hours before washing it off with cold water.
2. Oily skin
Sandalwood paste is a good option to reduce the oiliness on the skin. The same formula which helps to reduce acne scars also helps in reducing oiliness of the skin. You may also use lemon juice mixed in water or add the paste to face scrubs to reduce the oiliness of your skin.
Another effective face scrub can be made from Almond and honey. Prepare a finely grounded paste of a few almonds and to it add a couple of teaspoons of honey. Apply this to your face and gently scrub it on the most affected areas. The paste is a great way to preserve the naturally required moisture while removing the oiliness from the surface of the skin. It prevents the skin from feeling dry after you wash it off. Do not use if you have a nut allergy.
3. Signs of ageing
Essential oils are a treasure trove of antioxidants and they work wonders in keeping your skin taut and supple. Applying them easy, take a few drops of essential oil (e.g., frankincense, jojoba, lavender, or rosemary) and add them to your carrier oil (e.g., olive oil or virgin coconut oil). Dab your fingers and massage the areas where the skin is most likely to sag. These areas are usually around the eyes and your lips. This massage will also help in the removal of dead skin cells, promote blood circulation and encourage new cell growth.
4. Dandruff
Dandruff affects almost everyone in the world. Tea Tree oil is a great solution to this problem. The Tea Tree oil is both anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial, and hence helps to soothe scalp irritation and reduces any chances of infection.
You can add a few drops of Mesmara tea tree oil into an organic shampoo bottle. This will help you to get rid of your dandruff and keep it at bay.
You may also mix a few drops of it into your own carrier oil, e.g. virgin coconut oil, brahmi oil and massage it onto your scalp.
5. Frizzy hair
Frizzy hair is such a pain to manage, and a little care is all your hair asks for. It is mainly caused due to lack of hydration. Foremost is to drink a lot of fluids, especially the non-alcoholic variety and supplement it with at least 2-3 servings of juicy fruits.
Someone who is in a hurry can use a ripe avocado paste with a few drops of olive oil and massage it to the hair strands and scalp.
