However, many might overlook the impact of the tiring days of dance practices which are ought to take a toll on the skin. To beat the dullness of skin, face masks are every woman’s favorite tool. Here we share some of our treasured and lesser known face packs that will help your face keep glowing and always selfie ready.
#1 – Avocado Face Mask
Avocado fruit is an excellent hydrating medium for skin, and Cocoa is another ingredient which manages irritants to the skin. When mixed with honey, it is just the right mix which has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.
Preparation
Blend about ¼ to ½ a portion of an avocado with a tablespoon of Mesmara cocoa butter and honey. Blend well into a fine paste.
Application
Wash your face nicely before applying the paste and dab it dry. Apply this paste evenly on your face and allow it to dry up. Leave the pack for a good 30 minutes before you wash off with some slightly warmed water. Apply your regular moisturizer as the final act to your beauty routine. Following the routine at least twice a week leaves you with a glowing, supple and tender feel to your face.
#2 – Buttermilk And Tomato Face Mask
Tomato juice is often recommended as a natural healing solution for skin ailments. Tomato juice is particularly effective in shrinking the pore size and since its antibacterial, in nature, it helps reduce the bacterial infections. It is often a remedy to manage acne related skin issues. Buttermilk as well is great for managing skin tone. It is a natural bleaching agent and the lactic acid also helps manage skin issues.
Preparation
Take about two teaspoons of freshly prepared tomato juice. Mix it with buttermilk, the portion should be about one and half times of the tomato juice. Ensure the buttermilk is freshly prepared too. Mix the two ingredients well to prepare your face mask.
Application
You should use a cotton ball to apply this to your face. Once you have evenly spread the mix all over the skin, leave it for about half an hour. This should allow the face pack to act sufficiently and dry up on your face. After about 30 minutes of application, you may wash it off and follow it up with your regular moisturizer.
#3 – Dead Sea Mud Face Masks
Various minerals such as magnesium, sodium, calcium, potassium, chloride, and bromine present in Dead Sea salt water play different functions in maintaining a healthy skin. Dead Sea mud mask tightens the skin contributing to the anti-ageing effect. It also cleans the skin of impurities and stimulating blood circulation in the skin thus leaving it with a natural glow.
Preparation
Mix ½ cup of Mesmara Dead Sea Mud with few drops of Mesmara lavender essential oil, Mesmara peppermint essential oil, and Mesmara cinnamon bark oil. Mix it until you get a smooth paste.
Application
Use a brush to apply the paste evenly over your face. Leave it on for 10 minutes and then wipe it off using a gentle face cloth dipped in warm water.
#4 – Honey Apple Face Masks
An apple a day keeps the doctor away is a well-used cliché and rightly so for the skin. Apples are rich in antioxidants and packed with collagen and elastin. These nutrients are like a gold mine for the skin. The antioxidants keep your skin younger and the collagen and elastin keep them supple and prevent them from cracking up in winters.
Preparation
Blend two to three portions of an apple in a blender. As you blend, add a few tablespoons of honey to the mix right before it turns itself into a fine paste.
Application
Use a cotton ball or a brush to apply the paste to your face. Even better is if you can ask someone to apply this consistently. Like most face packs, this one too needs to be left for about half an hour to dry up and work its magic. You should wash the face pack off with slightly warm water and moisturize it well.
#5 – Oats And Grapefruit Face Mask
This face pack needs a bit of work but does really good, especially for your skin tone. The ingredients include oatmeal, eggs, grapefruit and honey. Eggs are rich in calcium, collagen and protein. Grapefruit has antioxidants which allow your skin to stay younger for longer and it also evens out skin tone. Honey is important in protecting the general health of the skin, it has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Oats are great exfoliates that gives your skin a good scrub removing the dead cells.
Preparation
Hand press 200 ml of grapefruit juice into a mixing bowl. On the side beat up one egg white into a consistent froth. Now mix the beaten egg white, half cup oatmeal and a tablespoon of honey. Mix all the ingredients well.
Application
Slowly massage the face mask to your face. The act must be gentle and in a circular motion. Hold on to the paste for a quarter of an hour before you wash it off. Do moisturize once you wash off.
These homemade face masks may seem a bit tedious initially. However, with regular use, you will love the effect they have on your skin. You will be rid of skin dullness and be ready for the festivities in no time at all.
