Aloe Vera-based Soothing Face Pack
Aloe vera gel is abundantly available in our gardens and easy to extract. You can also procure this prepackaged from the market. Organic Mesmara Aloe Vera powder is another good option that has an extremely long shelf life.
How to use
You need to mix 1-2 teaspoons of fuller’s earth and 3 tablespoons of Aloe vera gel / powder and add a few drops of rose water to it. A few drops of Rose water can add life to the paste with their ethereal fragrance.
The fine paste should be applied to the exposed skin area, usually the face, neck and even on the arms. Leave it to dry and subsequently wash off with cold water. Use this twice a week and it shall keep your skin fresh, remove the signs of tanning and keeps the skin clean and oil free.

Orange-based Face Pack
The citric acid present in oranges helps in the brightening of skin naturally and gives it a natural radiance. Even the peel of the fruit enhances skin glow and removes suntan.
How to use
Orange juice mixed with yoghurt makes a vitamin C rich face pack. Leave it on for half an hour and in that time it will start getting dry. Wash it off with cold water.
You can also mix Mesmara Orange Peel Powder with few drops of lime, sandalwood powder, ½ tsp of Multani Mitti and Aloe Vera Juice to make a smooth paste.

Coconut Face Rinse
Another simple and effective recipe is coconut milk. Take out the white coconut pulp of a coconut and blend it finely. Filter the blend and what is left is coconut milk. You can now directly use this to clean and rinse your face and skin.
How to use
To maximise the effect, soak a clean cloth into the coconut milk and leave it on your skin. This will allow the skin to absorb the goodness more than a simple rinse.
For severe tans, apply this daily and soon the tan signs will go.
For an additional punch add sandalwood powder (1-2 tsp) to get a consistent and fine paste. This can be now used as a face pack. Apply these 2-3 days a week and once applied, leave it to dry and subsequently wash off with cold water. Finish off with natural moisturisers for glowing skin.

Papaya-based Face Pack
Ripe papayas heal the skin easily, especially when you have dark tans and severe sunburns. The papaya helps in cell renewal and is a good exfoliant. It is easy to make papaya face pack at home.
How to use
Make a fine paste by blending peeled ripe papaya with a tablespoon of honey. The quantity of papaya should be enough to make one cup of paste. Apply it on your face and let is rest for half an hour before washing it off gently with normal temperature water. Use it on alternate days to give you the best results.

A lesser-known recipe is tomato paste. Tomato is packed with antioxidants and vitamins which help lighten the skin tone.
How to use
Use the freshly prepared paste and mix it with rice powder. You will be impressed to see how quickly the signs of tan disappear. Suntan will soon fade off your exposed areas and the skin will start looking fresher and less oily.
