Crispy Honey Glazed Chicken Thighs
We know, you’re already drooling with the name, and so are we. Without further ado, let’s get started.
- Chicken thighs – 4
- Chicken drumsticks – 6
- Buttermilk – 2 cups
- Onion powder – ½ teaspoon
- Dried oregano – ½ teaspoon
- Garlic powder – ½ teaspoon
- Cayenne powder – ½ teaspoon
- Paprika – ½ teaspoon
- All-purpose flour – 1 cup
- Honey – to glaze
- Mesmara cold-pressed groundnut oil – 1 cup
- Salt and black pepper powder to taste
Take a bowl and mix onion and garlic powder, oregano, paprika, cayenne powder, salt and pepper. Now take another bowl with the all-purpose flour. To it, mix half of the spice mix and combine well. Put the chicken in the flour-spice mix, coat well, and then pour the buttermilk on it. Mix everything and let the chicken chill in the marinade for at least two hours. Remove the chicken from the flour-spice-buttermilk mix, coat with the spice mix in the other bowl, again dip it in the buttermilk mix, and again coat it with the spice mix. Repeat for all the chicken pieces. Now take a deep-bottomed pan, heat oil, and deep fry the chicken. Once cooked, take it out on a wire rack and glaze with honey from the top. Your crispy honey glazed chicken thighs are ready to be savored.
