Dry Hair Treatments at Home
Since Biblical times, women have considered hair as a “crowning glory,” however, now both men and women believe in the phrase. A bad hair day equals a bad day, therefore haircare has become an essential part of everyone’s hygiene routine.
One of the prominent issues of hair is the ‘dry hair’ dilemma. As you age, your hair naturally makes less oil and affects the skin under the roots. Hence, the dry scalp goes along with dry hair. The other reasons causing dry, frizzy and damaged hair are over washing, blow-drying after using alcohol-based products, using hair straighteners or curling irons, chemical treatments and so on so forth.
However, you can treat your dry hair just by sitting at home as we bring to you a few simple and quick home remedies that will help you get your shiny, healthy hair back on track.
#1. Warm Olive Oil
Olive oil is one of the most popular home remedies for dry hair treatment. It contains Vitamin E and antioxidants which help in moisturizing and strengthening the hair. All you need to do is take Mesmara Extra Virgin Olive Oil and warm it. After warming the oil, massage it gently into your hair. Cover your hair with a warm towel and leave it for 30-40 minutes or overnight. Later rinse it with a mild shampoo.
#2. Coconut Oil Mask
You all must be well aware of the fact that Indians have been applying coconut oil to hair for ages. It is one of the best remedies for treating dry hair. Making a mask is just as easy as applying it directly. Take Mesmara Coconut Oil and boil it with curry leaves. When the oil has cooled, rub it in your hair and scalp with fingertips. After a few minutes rinse it.
#3. Egg Mixture
Eggs are a good source of proteins and a vital ingredient for treating dry and frizzy hair. Add 2 tablespoons of Mesmara Extra Virgin Olive Oil and 1 tablespoon of honey to three eggs and mix it well. Apply the mixture to your hair and scalp. Cover your hair with a shower cap for 30 minutes. Later rinse with cool water and shampoo.
Adding Mayonnaise in your sandwich, burger or salad makes each of it a finger-licking dish. But did you ever thought of applying it to your hair? Well, it surely doesn’t make it yummy but its protein richness makes it one of the best dry hair treatments options. Firstly, wet your hair with warm water and gently apply a thick layer of mayonnaise to it. Gently massage the hair and scalp, working it through the hair strands to the ends. Cover your head with a plastic cap for 30 minutes to 1 hour. Finally, rinse the hair with cool water and shampoo.
#5. Yogurt and Oil Mask
All your hair needs are love and keratin. A perfect source for keratin is right in your pantry- yogurt. Yogurt moisturizes your hair, and its lactic acid cleanses your scalp by washing away the dead skin cells. You can make a yogurt mask by following a few simple steps. Take half a cup of yogurt and add 2 tablespoons of Mesmara Extra Virgin Olive Oil and 6 drops of Mesmara Rosemary Essential Oil and mix all the ingredients. Wash your hair thoroughly and then apply this mixture to your clean hair and leave it for 15-20 minutes. Rinse your hair with warm water.
Haircare is a very important aspect of one’s hygiene. Beautiful and shiny hair always makes a good impression which is indispensable for both men and women. Remember, you can’t get it right by just washing your hair, it requires using the right products and grooming.
