While some people are naturally blessed with such skin, everyone needs to take care of it. The care routine is non-negotiable. In today’s busy world, it’s difficult for many women to find time for lengthy parlor sessions. Hence, today we will share how to do a DIY facial at home using natural ingredients.
DIY Facial at Home Process:
The process includes cleansing, toning, scrubbing, massaging with various oils and finally applying a face pack.
1. Aloe Turmeric Cleanser
Raw turmeric is a wonderful herbal medicine. It helps heal the skin and while at it, it also lightens the skin tone. Aloe Vera plant has properties that soothe the skin, increases the growth of new cells and helps reduce tanning.
Take two tablespoons of aloe Vera gel / powder and to it add a few drops of honey, milk and raw turmeric juice. Mix them well to make a consistent paste.
Take a small amount on the tips of your fingers and evenly spread the paste. Apply this on your face, neck and all the exposed areas that need a good cleanse and repair. In about 15-20 mins the sticky paste will start drying up and that is usually enough time for it to work on your skin. You can now wash it off gently and subsequently moisturise.
2. Fresh Milk Cream and Green Tea Toner
Another ingredient for a home facial for glowing skin at home is green tea, which is rich in antioxidants. When applied topically, it promotes collagen production in the skin. An important ingredient to keep skin firm and prevent sagging.
Boil a cup of water and add a tablespoon of green tea leaves. As the leaves soak, allow it to cool down to lukewarm temperature. Filter the tea and keep aside.
Take a tablespoon of freshly set milk cream. Dip your fingers into the cream and gently massage the cream into the skin. The fresh milk cream will deeply moisturise your skin and improve the skin tone. The massaging increases blood circulation and makes your skin look fresh.
Take some cotton to soak in tea water and use this to cleanse the excess oiliness from the cream. As you wipe the cream, the green tea benefits are passed on to the skin.
3. Lemon/Orange Peel Face Scrub
Lemon and Orange are citrus fruits with loads of freshness. The aroma is very refreshing and also it is loaded with vitamin C and antioxidants.
The face scrub will exfoliate and remove signs of uneven tanning. It will also make the skin look shinier and improve the glow. It is great for folks who suffer from oily skin as it refreshes the skin.
Apply this mix on your face and neck and leave it for 20 minutes. Wash this off with cold water and feel the difference. Right from the first wash, you will start seeing the difference in your skin texture and radiance.
