DIY cleansers for dry skin

1. Olive oil and glycerine

Ingredients:

Mesmara extra virgin olive oil – ½ cup

Glycerine – 2 tablespoons

Baby wash – 2 tablespoons (optional)

Method

Mix all the ingredients nicely to make a smooth lather. Apply it on your face and scrub for 2-3 minutes. Wash off thoroughly and pat dry. Olive oil and glycerine together help your skin to stay hydrated. Baby wash helps clean the dirt.

2.  Milk and honey cleanser

Ingredients: 

Raw honey – 1 tablespoon

Raw milk – 2 tablespoons

Mesmara lavender essential oil (optional) – 5 drops

Method:

Mix all the ingredients and form a smooth paste. Wet your face and apply gently on it. Massaging slowly. Let it get absorbed for 3-4 minutes before you rinse it off. While raw honey cleanses the skin naturally, milk moisturises to keep your dry skin at bay. 

3. Gram flour, milk, and honey cleanser

Ingredients

Gram flour – 1 tablespoon

Honey – 1 teaspoon

Milk – 2 tablespoons

Method

Mix all the ingredients to form a smooth paste. Gently scrub your skin with the mixture and wash it off. Gram flour helps in exfoliation of the dead skin while honey and milk nourish and hydrate the dry skin. 

4.  Bentonite clay and aspirin

Ingredients

Mesmara Bentonite clay – ½ cup

Aspirin tablets – 2/3 crushed

Method

In a bowl, mix the two ingredients. Add a little bit of water to make a paste. Apply on your face and massage gently. Aspirin works as an anti-bacterial agent that cleanses the skin while Bentonite clay helps the skin to get rid of excess oil and dirt. 

5. Pineapple and lemon peel cleanser

Ingredients:

Pineapple juice – 2 teaspoons

Mesmara lemon peel powder – 1 teaspoon

Baking soda – 1 teaspoon

Method

Make a smooth paste with all the ingredients and massage it on your face. Keep for 5 minutes before rinsing. While pineapple juice provides vitamin C and nourishes the skin, lemon peel removes excess oil and baking soda cleanses the skin. 

6. Honey and egg for radiant skin

Ingredients

Egg – 1 large

Raw honey – 2 tablespoons

Almonds – 3-4 crushed

Method

Make a pack out of all the ingredients. Apply on the face as a face pack. Leave it for 2-3 minutes and rinse it off with luke warm water. Almond is a natural scrubber that cleanses the clogged pores while honey hydrates. 

7. Chickpea, milk and honey cleanser

Ingredients:

Chickpea flour – 1 teaspoon 

Milk – 1 tablespoon

Honey – 1 teaspoon

Mesmara extra virgin olive oil – 1 tablespoon

Mesmara lavender essential oil – 3-4 drops

A piece of clean cloth

Method:

Mix the two ingredients and gently massage on your wet skin. Leave it for 4-5 minutes. Then soak the cloth in lukewarm water and rub gently over your face. Olive oil has natural antioxidants that cleanses and nourishes the skin.

Ingredients

Raw honey – 1 tablespoon

Wash cloth
