Step #1: Oil Cleanser:
You cannot miss this step if you have used oil-based products like serum, moisturizer during the night before. Oil cleanser also picks up residues of makeup done earlier. You just need to gently massage the cleanser into the skin, and all these impurities will just dissolve.
Step #2: Water based cleanser:
While oil-based cleanser cleans the residues of products used on your face, it needs to be followed-up with a water based cleanser for deep cleansing of your pores. Use a foam-based and apply the lather on to your face. Let is sit for a minute or two before washing off with water.
Step #3: Toner:
A toner is used to balance the pH levels of your skin and also to keep your skin hydrated. It also helps tighten your skin. Choose a toner which suits your skin type. There are various types of toners for different skin types in the market. Best way to apply a toner is to put it on your fingers and pat it gently into your skin.
Step #4: Serum:
Serums are made up of small molecules which can penetrate the skin deeply and thus send active ingredients into the skin. Hence, serums are used to resolve skin care your problems like wrinkles, dark spots etc. Though serums are very expensive, they are to be used in very small quantities, making them last longer. Apply tiny droplets of serum on your face using a filler. Then quickly blend the droplets on your entire face using strong strokes.
Step #5: Moisturizer:
Moisturizers lock the moisture of your skin and prevent it from drying out. There are a plethora of moisturizers available in the market, for various skin types and skin problems. Choose the right one for you. You can also find out regarding natural moisturizers for glowing skin. Best time to apply moisturizer is when your skin is still wet. Take a small amount of moisturizer in your palm, rub it in your palms and apply all over your face.
Step #6: Sunscreen:
One of the most important steps of the morning routine is the application of a sunscreen. Sunscreen blocks harmful UV rays from penetrating into your skin which can result in causing cancer. It is a myth that sunscreen is not needed when you are not stepping out into the sun. You need protection even from sunlight streaming into your house. Use a waterproof sunscreen with SPF value greater than 30. Apply it to all exposed areas of your body, including your face.
Step #7: Primer:
A primer is the final layer of protection you put on your face. It is a mixture of makeup and skincare. It makes a good base for you to apply your foundation. However, if you are not planning to wear any makeup, you can skip the application of primer. A pea-sized amount is enough for your face. Apply it in the center and blend it outwards.
